This French DJ and producer first got himself noticed internationally in 2013 with the singles "Bird Machine" and "Turn Down for What". At the start of his musical journey, he was influenced by hip hop, in particular by Cypress Hill and KRS-One, and the name "Snake" was given to him in his graffiti days because of his ability to consistently avoid the police.
In 2011, he played a part in the production of Lady Gaga's album "Born This Way", which earned him a nomination at the Grammy Awards. He has remixed tracks by top-class artists such as Kanye West, AlunaGeorge and Major Lazer. He also worked with Major Lazer on the massive hit "Lean On", which was the most played song on Spotify in 2015, with more than 500,000 listens around the world – a record to date.
The following year, DJ Snake released his debut album, "Encore". The first song to come from it was the single "Middle", which features British singer Bipolar Sunshine, and the album charted in France, the UK, the US and Australia. In 2016, DJ Snake made some noise with the single "Let Me Love You", which features vocals by Justin Bieber. It was released on the same day as the album Encore itself, and the single reached the top ten in 28 countries and number one in France, Germany and Norway.
